(Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy)

Instability in the femoral-tibial joint is characterized by significant discomfort and a high degree of lameness, and leads to a series of degenerative changes in the joint, damage to articular cartilage, meniscus, and the formation of degenerative reactions that limit mobility in the joint leading to ankylosis.

TPLO modifies the geometry of the angle of the tibial articular plane at its high inclination, allowing for stability in the femorotibial joint.
