  • Oncology treatment for dogs and cats

Veterinary oncology is a branch of veterinary medicine that focuses on the treatment of cancerous diseases in animals. Oncological diseases are becoming more prevalent and are being increasingly diagnosed in companion animals. 1 in 6 cats will develop cancer during their lifetime. This disease occurs with even greater frequency in dogs and affects 25% of the canine population. Approximately half of dogs over 10 years old will develop cancer.

Fortunately, cancer is not a death sentence and veterinary medicine has more and more options to combat the disease. Treatment is based on the synergistic effect of surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy drugs, as well as the introduction of supportive therapies, such as personalized supplementation for the patient, the use of an appropriate diet or physiotherapy. Such treatment, especially if implemented early enough, gives a good chance of a complete recovery from the disease. With an in-depth understanding of the nature of cancer, we provide a holistic approach to the patient's health, made possible by the attentive care provided by a wide range of specialists in various fields.

Together, we can develop an optimal treatment plan to ensure that your pet feels as comfortable as possible during the illness. We also encourage you to take advantage of regular visits to detect the disease at an early stage - and thus enable effective treatment.

We effectively treat canine and feline oncological conditions

    Quick diagnostics
The presence of doctors performing on-site cytology, ultrasound and X-ray examinations will significantly reduce the time required for diagnosis. Flexible treatment options include: Surgery, radiation therapy, intravenous chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy cancer drugs - at the oncology visit, all available forms of treatment will be clearly presented and together we will decide which therapy will be most effective for you and at the same time comfortable for you and your pet.

    Bone tumors
We are one of the few in the country to offer limb-sparing surgery, which allows you to preserve a functional limb while removing the cancerous process.

    Soft tissue tumors
Our experienced surgeons, in consultation with an oncologist, will determine the extent of the necessary surgery, which is the basis of treatment for most such cancers. A histopathological examination performed after surgery will enable us to develop the best additional therapy for your pet.
