TTA RAPID
(TIBIAL TUBEROSITY ADVANCEMENT)TTA Rapid method of surgery
The TTA Rapid method of joint surgery for dogs and cats is one of the latest and most effective techniques for treating anterior cruciate ligament injuries. At Vetriver Clinic in Laski and Latchorzewo near Warsaw, we successfully perform this tibial osteotomy procedure, allowing your pets to return to full function.
Located inside the knee joint, the cruciate ligament is one of the most important stabilizing elements. Its rupture is a common injury that affects small and medium breed dogs. If left untreated, the injury can lead to damage to the meniscus and degeneration, so as soon as alarming symptoms are observed in the movement of the animal, treatment should begin immediately. Conservative ways, such as painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs or physiotherapy, in this case will not have the desired effect. The dog should undergo surgery - veterinarian Andrzej Malkowski, a specialist in orthopedics, particularly recommends the TTA Rapid method.
Why TTA Rapid?
Joint surgery using the TTA Rapid method involves the forward displacement of a section of the tibia by inserting a special titanium cage, resulting in improved distribution of forces in the joint. This is a low-trauma procedure, during which far fewer implant components are placed than in classic methods. The implants are left in place permanently, thus avoiding reoperation. The shorter duration of the TTA Rapid, the reduction of interference and burden on the animal allows it to recover quickly and regain its former fitness.
