Morphology machine

We use it to perform red blood cell, white blood cell and platelet count measurements. Determined parameters in conjunction with the clinical condition can be helpful, among others, in the diagnosis of tick-borne diseases that cause anemia (intravascular hemolysis), inflammatory conditions (leukocytosis) and many, many others, with which patients often come to our clinic. The results obtained should always be interpreted in conjunction with a full clinical examination, since a stressful situation, which sometimes is a visit to the office, can falsify the results (stress leukogram).

Biochemistry machine

We mainly use it for the diagnosis of metabolic (organ) diseases such as diabetes, liver disease, kidney disease, skeletal disease, cardiovascular conditions, etc.

VIDAS machine

Used to determine hormone levels, which helps in the diagnosis of thyroid diseases (e.g., hyperthyroidism - Graves’ disease and hypothyroidism), adrenal glands, (e.g., hyperadrenocorticism - Cushing's disease and hypoadrenocorticism- Addison's disease), but also to test the level of reproductive hormones (e.g., progesterone), which can be used to determine the timing of mating in obstetrics, and much more.

Centrifuge

To prepare blood before testing and to obtain serum.

Microscope

Allows examination of blood smears and cytological evaluation. In our clinic we perform tissue aspirates by FNA (fine needle aspiration), used to verify cancerous lesions (possible even during surgery).

Warming machine

Used to perform IRAP procedures.

Urinalysis apparatus

Helps us diagnose diseases, related to the urinary system itself, such as acute nephritis, inflammation of the urinary tract, urinary tract hemorrhages, urinary tract tumors, but also others, including pyometra, diabetes mellitus, liver damage, primary liver and biliary tract diseases or poisoning, and a myriad of different diseases, common or rare.
