Diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases

Skin diseases of dogs and cats are very common. The picture of the diseases can look the same despite different root causes. Skin conditions of our pets can be caused by bacterial, parasitic and fungal infections, hormonal disorders, autoimmune and allergic diseases. The most common symptoms are itching, alopecia, pimples and erythema of the ear canals.

To best diagnose and treat skin diseases in dogs and cats, we perform additional tests:

• cytological examination (ear canals, skin, skin-mucosal junctions, skin tumors)
• skin scraping (ectoparasites)
• mycological examination (mycoses)
• bacteriological examination
• histopathological examination
• examination of hormone levels in the blood
• allergy tests
