Effective treatment of canine joint diseases
IRAP I and IRAP II - an antidote to joint degeneration

Vetriver Clinic, one of the few in Poland, offers a modern method of treating cartilage damage, degeneration and arthritis with Orthokine®vet, IRAP II. This innovative technique, which has been successfully used in humans, eliminates troublesome ailments associated with hip and elbow dysplasia, spinal degeneration, tendon damage, and is often used as regenerative therapy in post-surgical treatment. Its greatest advantage is the long-term elimination of pain, which allows the animal to return to normal activities.

What does IRAP joint treatment consist of?

The procedure is a natural and safe method that uses the patient's blood. It does not require surgical intervention and does not require much preparation from your pet. The collected blood is incubated and centrifuged to produce an autologous plasma containing cytokines and growth factors. These substances inhibit the development of inflammation and halt the progression of cartilage tissue destruction. Treatment consists of local injection of the IRAP-rich plasma performed in a series of treatments (3-4), and its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect persists for 2-4 years. IRAP I and IRAP II are especially recommended if general pain management has failed and surgical intervention is not an option.

  • The Angel System at Vetriver Clinic

    Why choose the Angel System?
    • Safety - the process of obtaining the concentrate is fully automated.
    • Technological advancement – the Angel System is unrivaled in the world in terms of the processing of bone marrow.
    • Comfort and visible results - a noticeable result after the first treatment.
    • Rapid recovery.
    • Separation and concentration - the automated separation system ensures reproducibility of the degree of cell concentration. This is a revolutionary technology, giving damaged tissues a chance to regenerate.

The Angel System is also used to process blood so that pure platelet-derived growth factors (PRP) can be separated from it. Using the Angel separator gives the chance to obtain the highest concentration of PRP.

Angel + marrow = MSC stem cells
Angel + blood = highly concentrated PRP

Indications for stem cell and PRP therapy:
    • Advanced arthrosis (osteoarthritis), especially acute conditions with loss of articular cartilage,
    • Chondromalacia, injury and reconstruction of articular cartilage,
    • Muscle and tendon damage,
    • Bone fusion disorders,
    • Acceleration of regeneration, particularly evulsion fractures,
    • Activation of regenerative processes of dedicated tissue,
    • Damage to tissues requiring reconstruction.
  • Angel System therapy - an innovative and effective solution

There are many advantages of using the Angel System therapy. First of all, it is a modern and effective method of treating degeneration, which can completely replace surgical treatment. The use of stem cells will bring rapid regeneration of damaged tissues. The therapy can also be used to process blood and separate pure platelets from it.

The Angel System from the US company Arthrex is one of the latest technologies for producing stem cell preparations from bone marrow and concentrated platelets from the patient's blood (known as platelet-rich plasma). It makes it possible to produce two types of preparations in a special centrifuge:

    • MSC/BMA (Mesenchymal Stem Cells Concentrate/Bone Marrow Aspirate) - a low-volume concentrate containing several times more stem cells than the patient's basal marrow.
    • PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) - a small-volume concentrate containing several times more platelets than the patient's baseline blood

  • Arthroprosthesis

At Vetriver Veterinary Clinic, we inject a synthetic viscosupplement directly into the affected joint to restore joint fluid properties and reduce friction. The hydrogel cushions the forces of action in the joint helping to maintain the integrity of the cartilage. Microbial colonization is suppressed in the implant thanks to the presence of silver ions. Thanks to the slow biodegradation process, it improves the function of the joint for a period of two years. Implantation consists of a delivery injection with immediate effect. The preparation of REGEN-JOINT and Noltrex is available at the Vetriver Clinic.

    REGEN-JOINT-Polish liquid endoprosthesis
The product is a hydrogel with light elasticity and high viscosity, which replenishes the level of joint lubricant, thus improving joint biomechanics in OA. It is well known at Vetriver. With the help of REGEN-JOINT, a Polish liquid implant, you can effectively curb the pain and discomfort associated with osteoarthritis.

The most commonly diagnosed problems by veterinarians include:

    • hip joint degeneration,
    • knee joint degeneration,
    • elbow joint degeneration,
    • joint crepitation,
    • joint friction.

    GROWTH FACTORS (REGEN+)
Accelerate the regeneration of cartilage tissue in animals.
DEGENERATIVE JOINT DISEASE should be considered a disease of the entire joint, i.e. cartilage, synovial membrane, synovium, subchondral bone and soft structures surrounding the joint, i.e. muscles and ligaments. Joint disease is also accompanied by the development of inflammation.

REGEN+ combined with hyaluronic acid (1-2%) - REGEN-CARTILAGE - is a unique product that accelerates the regeneration of articular cartilage.

    The delivery of REGEN-CARTILAGE causes:

    • inhibition of the inflammatory reaction in the joint,
    • hydration and protection of joint surfaces,
    • restoration of joint lubricant,
    • stimulation of joint cartilage regeneration.
  • Platelet-rich plasma therapy

Platelet-rich plasma therapy for dogs and other animals

Vetriver Clinic is one of the few veterinary clinics in Poland that uses state-of-the-art methods to treat orthopedic ailments. Fractures, difficulty with bone fusion, inflammation, degeneration and joint dysplasia are very common health problems affecting dogs and cats. Their treatment is usually long and difficult, with animals having to endure pain, unable to move efficiently, taking painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs, and eventually undergoing surgery.
However, you can rely on the body's natural regenerative mechanisms and opt for innovative platelet-rich plasma therapy, which is performed at our clinic.

    Platelet-rich plasma instead of surgery

This modern therapy is a safe and unobtrusive treatment, used in humans and animals. It uses components of the patient's blood, thus avoiding complications, side effects or rejection of the substance.

Platelet-rich plasma is a concentrated solution of platelets and white blood cells, which is obtained from laboratory-processed blood previously collected from the animal. The autologous fluid concentrate is injected into the affected area, thus directing the components to the damaged tissues. Platelets contained in the plasma release growth factors that stimulate the healing and regeneration process. Their increased concentration makes the body's natural mechanisms work much more intensively, and increases collagen production and tissue reconstruction. In addition, inflammation is reduced, and the proteins that make up platelets have antibacterial and fungicidal effects.

Platelet-rich plasma therapy is, above all, the absence of interference in the animal's body with artificial substances, which in many cases allows to avoid surgery on the joints of dogs and cats. It helps wounds heal, rebuilds tendons and joint cartilage, eliminates pain and allows the patient to return to their former function.

Usually in chronic injuries, several injections of platelet-rich plasma are recommended. After the treatment, the animal should avoid activity and heavy movement for 3-4 weeks. The therapy is also often used as an additional therapy along with surgery.

  • Autologous Conditioned Plasma (ACP Therapy)

    What is ACP?

ACP - Autologous Conditioned Plasma is a specialized blood product obtained by separating the patient's own plasma.

Autologous Conditioned Plasma (ACP) has been used in human and veterinary medicine for many years.

    • Recommended for the treatment of tendon, ligament, muscle and joint injuries
    • Uses the body's ability to regenerate and self-heal
    • Biological substances produced by the patient's body
    • Outpatient procedure
    • Fast process (< 30min.).
